Britain — one of the world's least religious nations

NewImage

From David Barrett…

Britain is one of the least religious countries in the world, with two thirds of the population describing themselves as atheist or “not religious”, a new survey has disclosed.

Only 30 per cent of Britons interviewed by pollsters as part of a world-wide project said they would describe themselves as religious, regardless of whether they attended a place of worship.Ok, that makes it hard.

But some of the most religious nations (Thailand for instance) are also some of the nations most resistant to the gospel.

Religious people are resistant to the gospel. Non Religious people are resistant to the gospel!

So who is receptive?

Anyone who has seen the life of a friend or family member changed by the gospel — recently.

That’s why Jesus went looking for “persons of peace” (Luke 10), God-prepared people who took the good news to their friends and family. Immediately.
