"Steve, I woke up one morning and I believed!"

On a recent trip to Sydney Michelle and I caught up with Xu Bing and his wife Sarah.

We first met Bing about six years ago through English Club. I got to do Discovery Bible with Bing, but he wasn’t ready to follow Christ. Bing moved to Sydney and about a year later I rang him and he told me, “Steve I woke up one morning and I believed!”

Since then he’s been following Jesus and his fiancée, now wife, Sarah also turned and believed.

Ten years ago this never happened to Michelle and I. Now it’s a regular occurrence. What changed? We started connecting with people far from God, offering prayer, sharing the gospel, reading the bible with them. God does the rest.

We’re going to share eternity with Bing and Sarah. Isn’t this what we signed up for?

The 4Fields Intensive equips participants with Biblical principles and best practice methods to multiply disciples and churches.

The 4Fields of Kingdom Growth answers these questions:

  1. Entry: How do I enter a new field?

  2. Gospel: What do I say?

  3. Discipleship: How do I make disciples?

  4. Church: How will I form healthy churches?

  5. Leaders: How do I multiply leaders?

This Intensive is designed for local church workers, church planters and team members, cross-cultural workers and movement catalysts.

Participants will experience training that involves instruction, Bible discovery and practice in an interactive learning community. Participants will leave with a clear vision and plan for reaching their community, city, and beyond.

The training team includes Rachel and Troy Cooper (USA), Russell Godward (UK) and Steve and Michelle Addison (Australia).

Complete the attached pre-work. If you don’t finish, don’t let it stop you from coming—but if you are not willing to do this prep work, this training is not for you.

This just came in from Will Burnham in Athens:

Having coffee with Hadi this morning before we pick up some of his leaders for the day. He shared with me his story about going to a Greek monastery on the island:

He prayer-walked to the monastery to pray for the island. When he got there he saw the Priest and some nuns. He went in and shared the Gospel with them! The Priest asked him to keep sharing. One of the nuns was not happy about it and was rude he said. But the priest asked him to continue. They claimed to believe the same thing and Hadi asked them “then why don’t you go share the love of Jesus with these people?!” He then offered to pray for them. They are astonished he would offer that because he wasn’t a Priest. He then got to share about the Priesthood of the Believer!! Some women had come to see the Priest, overhead what Hadi was saying and followed him out to hear more. He shared with them that Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with a loving God.

Pray for Hadi to have more opportunities to share with Greeks as well as the refugees. Obvious it was “for such a time as this” God sent Hadi to the island.

The future of world missions is Afghan, Iranian, Syrian, Pakistani, Brazilian, Nigerian….
