Steve, I agree: bad theology and bad ad. I think there is a parody of what they call the “fundamentalist” view of the virgin birth.

The church’s website states: “Christian fundamentalism believes a supernatural male God who lived above sent his sperm into the womb of the virgin Mary.”

This is a gross perversion of the historic Christian faith.

Hey Steve,

Leaving out the bad theology, I think the message is missed on most people. Most people reading it think that the ad is just comparing Joseph to God in bed.

It’s a bad ad.
