Turned up this interesting finding from the Australian National Church Life Survey (NCLS).
Church plants are more likely to attract three groups: young people, males and overseas immigrants.
All three groups are under represented in established churches.
“Young” of course is anyone under 50. After that you’re “mature”.

Steve! I have no statistics but from just looking around in swedish churches I would say the same things are true here. More men, youngsters and immigrants in churchplants in Sweden. Would be interesting to get some analysis on it, but I guess it would be the higher level of challenge and risk combined with an openness to all kinds of new people. Yesterday in the service in our churchplant in Lulea ( the north of Sweden), 30% of the congregation were immigrants from south america, 20% teenagers, and 50% were men.
Your friend Alan Hirsch spoke at our denominational general conference two weeks ago. It was great. We continue in the CPM direction on different levels.
Richard, this is great news. Thanks for the update.
