Here’s a book that looks promising.
From the blurb,
This is the insightful story of Hindustan Bible Institute (HBI), an institution founded in Chennai, India, to teach pastors and to foster church planting, which over time had lost its vision. This fascinating story of dismantling and re-building of the HBI program to return to its original vision, planting one million churches in one million Indian villages, effectively reaching that massive nation for Christ, is accompanied by insightful and cross-cultural observations by Lingenfelter, Provost of Fuller Theological Seminary.
James Montgomery founder of DAWN writes,
This landmark book brilliantly unfolds the process required to turn theological institutions into centers where multitudes of leaders are equipped to complete the primary task the Lord gave us in His departing instructions… It provides a major breakthrough in strategic thinking.
I’ve ordered my copy.

I had to order mine via Amazon and pay $10 US to have it shipped! I met yesterday with some folk who may be able to help with such titles but it may take a few months to set it up. So you can wait and hope or try Amazon or http://www.abe.com
You can cut the shipping cost to $3 US if you have someone who can bring it out from the States for you.
Steve,
I am a missionary doing some research on Church Planting Movements. I am particularly interesting in the role of training in CPMs. I read Gupta and Lingenfelter’s book and was amazed at their comprehensive approach to training. As I read I continually ran across another need identified and addressed by HBI. I however could not keep track of all that they were doing as well as how and why. The HBI and global partners’ websites compartmentalized HBIs training but did not give a master plan kind of picture. Do you know if such a thing exists and if so, where I could get it? I think that it may be the most comprehensive training strategy in existence and I would love to see how it looks as a whole in addition to the narrative given in the book.
Blessings
Rob
