I remember years ago pondering over George Patterson&#039;s stuff on Obedience-Oriented Teaching as a discipling model. But I have never heard this proposed strongly in a &quot;developed-world&quot; context. Is this to say that we&#039;re missing something? That we don&#039;t need that approach?

I&#039;d be interested to know what others think.
