Visited family in Port Stephens on the way back from Sydney. Heaven on earth if you haven’t been there.
Surprised my nephew Brenton. His 15th birthday. Presented him with a carrot, nicely wrapped in baby shower paper. If you knew Brenton you’d understand.
My mum is battling cancer. She’s full of faith and courage in the midst of heartache for her and dad. Took a walk by the Marina at Nelson Bay. Mum in the wheelchair with me pushing. A new experience.
Lunch with her and dad at Mary’s cafe. Every moment is precious.
While mum rests another walk with dad. We bump into “Oka” Osbourne and his brother Al fishing off the rocks. They’re catching buckets of blackfish. It’s an art using ‘wire weed’ for bait. We come away laden with fish.
Flew home the next day proud of my dad’s devotion to mum. Married for over fifty years. Following Christ for over sixty.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Sheldon, great to hear from you. I think?
Dear Steve,
Well well well, it’s amazing what you find when you are bored and on the internet……..
And Shel, beware, you might just end up looking like your uncle Steve one day….
Regards to the family, including the Port Stevens ones…..
